Quotes to Consider
This month's quotes come from National Teacher of the Year, Sean McComb. Sean is an eduawesome educator in Baltimore County, MD. "We are teaching whole children. We are not just teaching the math portion of their brain." "As I reflect back on lessons from my classroom, the more I arrive back at: The way to a child's mind is through his/her heart." "The first step is to say to the students, you're not doing this alone." |

Staff as Leaders
This month's staff as leaders features EVERYONE at Liberty High School. Your willingness to experiment, desire for something better, and feedback over the last two years has created the foundations of a professional learning system that serves learning. Over the past month the professional learning model at Liberty High School has been featured at several national conferences and is slated to be a feature story in the Journal of Staff Development (Learning Forward) later this year. These accomplishments are the work of everyone at LHS to build a better system that respects you as professionals and places a focus on learning.
